Museum of the Aldobrandeschi Rocca

The Aldobrandeschi Fortress is a medieval fortress located in Suvereto, and it owes its name to the Aldobrandeschi family, who built the fortress to defend their fiefdom in Maremma. It is one of the symbols of Suvereto.

The museum is set up inside the fortress and offers a glimpse into the fascinating history of the stronghold, with reconstructions of historical episodes and important figures connected to it, including Emperor Henry VII and Princess Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi.

The fortress dominates the surrounding area, a land of great importance for wine production.
